My sister was perfectly designed by God to help me navigate all areas of my life. As a child, she was my hero, teaching me how to dance, making my cereal at 6 AM, while everyone else was asleep, helping me with my spelling test, even when I waited until the last minute to study. She was my protector, my best friend, my homie. As adults, she is still all these things and so much more. As mothers, we relate on many different levels, when dealing with my postpartum woes, she was always there for me. When navigating breastfeeding she was my saint. When trying to find balance and implement self-care, she was my therapist. Every moment of my life she has always been there for me and I thank God for her love. Growing up with birthdays so close together and during Christmas time, we were always forced to celebrate together. As an adult, it is an honor to celebrate a new year of life with my sister.
May this birthday 🎂 be filled with blessings and I hope you enjoy your own little holiday rendition to a classic Christmas story🎄❤️🎁.
'Twas the night before Christmas 🎄, when all through the house,
All of our children were stirring and making messes like a crazy mouse 🐭. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In fervent hopes that Nana would soon would be there 💖. _
Once the children were nestled all snug in their beds,😴
They dreamed visions of Louise Goodwin cakes and pies dancing in their heads 🍰🥧. _
And Brittany in her Christmas sweater, and I, in mine too, had just settled down for a drink, or two🥃🍷. _
Peaking out of the window with care,
We knew we were tipsey, and what did appear, a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
🤶🏽🎅🏽🎄🦌 -
So all through the night 🌜 we wrapped gifts 🎁in slumber. Taking shots of @dussecognac , 🥃 by the numbers. -
And then in a twinkling✨✨, yes we were still drinking 🥃, we reminisced on all of the magical nights ✨we spent Christmas together as little inklings 👯♀️! _
Our toys 🎠🎀 brought us joy, and so did having each other, we couldn’t be more thankful to our amazing single mother 💯. _
See every year in December, not only do we remember, a festive holiday filled with toys, we each had our birthdays, 🎂🍬celebrated with joy.

We promised as we grew older, never to turn a cold shoulder, on this joyous month, that always made us grow closer ❤️.

We worked through the night to prep for Christmas Day Joy,
Ready to see all of the kids open a toy. -
Forever best friends 😍, all captured in chatter, forever sisters, climbing together up life’s ladder 💯. -
We took one last sip 🥃, and looked at our presents🎁 wrap merry and right, then bid Happy Christmas 🎄to all, and to all a good night. -

this month will forever be special because I get to celebrate another year of life as your sister. You are my “sheroe”! I am the woman I am today because you believed in me as a kid, protecting me and loving me the way a great big sister does! -
