CEOMOM magazine is a digital and print publication that celebrates motherhood and business by spotlighting some of society’s most amazing women. The magazine that puts “super-moming into perspective” shows that it’s not about having it all but, having all you want. CEOMOM provides insight for women to grow their business endeavors and careers as well as relevant health, beauty, and parenting advice. They have featured #femprenuers like Tia Mowry, Janell Stephens, and Laila Ali to name a few, and in full transparency, it was a HUGE honor to be featured in a publication that has highlighted, such powerhouse women.

During my interview with their dynamic leader, Vonna Mathews, Creator of CEOMOM Magazine; we discussed all things DSLB, from the strategic growth of my brand to how I define myself as a leader. One question Vonna asked that deeply resonated with me was, “who is Dominique Sensabaugh?”

My answer was simple.

“Dominique Sensabaugh is a woman on a mission. My goal is to positively impact and serve under-resourced communities, both domestically and abroad. I am a woman determined to use my platform to “reach while I climb” and empower others, especially women, to tap into the greatest versions of themselves. Dominique is a devoted philanthropist, determined to use every resource I have been blessed with to help those in need. Dominique is a kind, loving wife and mother who thrives off of caring for her family while showing the world that motherhood is beautiful yet imperfect. Dominique is a storyteller-sharing with her audience the powerful narratives of mission makers and power players.”

It was so liberating to answer this question with such confidence and ease. As I pursue my purpose and carve out my path, the phrase “a seat at the table” has always intrigued me. Especially as a minority woman, full of ambition and drive, with a passion for serving communities and empowering other women in the spaces of business, philanthropy, and motherhood. I understand that “the table” is a metaphorical representation of the different sectors of society-business, tech, government, etc., and that illustrious “seat” at those tables-belong to the powers players that hold the relationships, connections, and influence to make decisions. Sadly, many women never step foot in the rooms where these conversations exist, let alone hold a seat at these coveted tables.

My effort to change this daunting reality was by creating the DSLB Inspired Dinner Series. Although I love to get dressed up, slay and eat amazing food over delicious cocktails, the DSLB Inspired Dinner Series is much more than that- it’s about feeding your soul, your dreams, your ambition, enjoying elegance yet inspiring fellow queens to tap into the power of uniting as women. It’s about us coming together and genuinely reaching while we climb, and transparently showing our most authentic selves so we can mentor each other’s growth.  Women of all backgrounds bonding and discussing how we can use our strengths and resources to serve as a catalyst for positive change in our respective fields. Nothing is more fulfilling than encouraging and feeding off women that are power players and mission makers. all women to collaborate and inspire. We need the uplifting energy that exists when we unite, and I truly believe there is a seat at the table for all women to win-a seat at the DSLB table.
