There is nothing more powerful and sexy than a woman that is determined to succeed. 

This year, because of Covid and the multitude of changes in how we interact socially, getting dressed up to celebrate the New Year looks different for me and many others. Our traditional Christmas soiree’’s and New Year’s Eve holiday shindigs have been replaced with zoom conferences and virtual celebrations. 

I won’t complain, because as long as the family is healthy and happy, all is well. Nevertheless, a part of me truly misses getting dressed up and slaying. I miss the impromptu photoshoots in the hallway mirror admiring a new outfit. I miss the excitement of attending festive events with friends. I miss hugging people, extending a warm welcome, and talking 1000 pictures to capture the moments. I truly miss enjoying each other’s laughter and fellowship without a surgical mask covering our faces and impeding our smiles.

One of the best elements of celebrating and attending these social events is getting glammed up. I miss that final glance in the mirror, right before you enter the event, where your attire and glam can speak volumes about your taste and personality.
