Fa la la la la
The most wonderful time of the year!
This year, Marri and I hosted our first ever ugly sweater Christmas party and despite the tacky sweater madness, the joy and excitement we all experienced as a family was priceless.
It amazes me how we can all come together during this busy time of year and just enjoy one another’s company. The festive lights from our ugly sweaters, yes, my sweater was battery operated and extra ugly. Made this such a fun and unique experience. We even awarded trophies to come of the best sweaters which made the competition and holiday cheer even more prevalent.
As a kid, growing up in Columbia, South Carolina, my immediate family was very close and we spent many Christmas’ together. Of course, as we have grown older and my siblings and I moved to other areas of the country, having moments like this are essential to the soul.
Listed below are some really cool and easy activities you can introduce to your family:
Ugly Sweater Party
Holiday Wine Down (gathering with your coworkers or girlfriends where the entry fee is a bottle of your favorite wine or bubbly)
Holiday Game Night with family & friends
White Elephant gift party (remember to set a gift minimum)Baking cookies with siblings (a guaranteed, messy good time)
This Holiday season remember that laughter and love fuel family traditions.
God Bless & Merry Christmas
